Eid Al Fitr holiday 1443 AH for public and private sectors will start from Sunday, 1 May to Thursday, 5 May 2022. Work shall 9 days off and a long weekend.
However, businesses may ask employees to work on said holidays due to the nature of business/work, however, employers must compensate the employees.
In many countries usually observe 2 days’ holidays. But in Oman, a minimum of 3 days are observed as holidays because many residents come to work in Muscat city but their families live in the interior.
